bondibands review + giveaway

I have to admit, running hasn’t exactly been going well for me right now.  I’m dealing with some Achilles tendon pain in my right foot/ankle that I am afraid is actually related to my plantar fascia.  I’ve dealt with plantar fasciitis in the past and it was absolute H-E-L-L.  My chiropractor worked on it a few weeks ago and it hasn’t really bothered me too much since… until a few days ago and now it’s hurting with practically every step.  So. Not. Fun.

But, even though running isn’t going as well as I would like it to, that definitely doesn’t mean I don’t have to look good while doing it!  Let me tell you, I can definitely make running look good…


OK, that’s a lie.  MacKenna is the one who can pull off running (and eyepatch) fashion.  Seriously.  Does anyone really look good running?!  But, I’m telling you, my BondiBand headbands make me look and feel so much better!  I’ve touted how much I love these headbands before and they have been my #1 go-to headband for the past year!

First of all, they are able to tame my long hair.  When I had short hair, I could pretty much wear any head band and not have any issues.  But, long hair is a completely different beast.  I want it in a pony tail high up on my head because that’s the only way hair will stay off my neck and not drive me absolutely crazy bouncing around.  But, most other headbands either slip off my head or give me flyaways in my face.

BondiBand has fixed that problem.  I absolutely love how wide they are!  At first I thought I wasn’t going to like it, but after I figured out my preferred way to wear them (with a little covering my ears because my head is smaller than most people), I can’t imagine wearing a smaller headband (only for fashion sake when not running).  The thickness has also helped keep the hair off my face and sweat from getting in my eyes, especially during the hot + humid St. Louis summer.  LOVE IT!

And best of all, it doesn’t slip off!  I have fine hair – most headbands slip right off my head, but these don’t.  If I wear them all day, sure, they eventually ride up, but I haven’t had a problem with them slipping off on a run.  EVER.  Now, that says something.

The other thing I really love about these headbands – they don’t stretch out and they are machine washable!  You have no idea how many headbands I have had to stop wearing because of those 2 things.  BondiBand to the rescue!
